OC Hospital Patient Charged With Raping Another Patient

SANTA ANA, CA — A 27-year-old man was charged Friday with raping a person at Huntington Beach Hospital, where both were patients.

Adrian Alfredo Sanchez of Garden Grove was charged with single counts each of rape of an incompetent person and rape, and two counts of assault with the intent to commit a sex offense, all felonies, according to court records.

Police were called to the hospital's mental health services clinic Wednesday afternoon regarding the attack, said Jennifer Carey of the Huntington Beach Police Department. Sanchez was a patient there and was accused of attacking another patient, but police would not provide any other details.

Sanchez is being held on $100,000 bail and is unemployed, according to jail records.
