Orange County's Favorite Thanksgiving Pie, Revealed!

We asked, and you answered! In Orange County, LA & across Southern California, here is your favorite pie to finish your Thanksgiving dinner!

ORANGE COUNTY, CA —Patch recently conducted a (very) unscientific poll to determine your favorite Thanksgiving dessert! Hands down, with our participant survey, you selected Pumpkin Pie as the perfect way to end your Thanksgiving dinner.

Coming in at a close second was pecan pie, and at a close third, apple pie. Cherry was next in line followed by, and we can't even believe this one, pie haters. Specifically, one anti-pie enthusaist who was most vocal about their opinions against pie in Sierra Madre.

Elsewhere in Los Angeles, the Olallieberry Pie was a favorite, which wins for the most unusually recommended pie. Our Woodland Hills friends love their apple pie! and one reader suggested the famed Apple Caramel tart.

Many of our readers who love to bake shared their recipes. One Irvine reader gave us her favorite Apple Pie creation, leaving out some critical details as a pro baker will. She makes hers with "an old county fair recipe for Apple pie with butter in the flaky crust, made with apples and cinnamon not "pie filling," and a generous brushing of whipped egg whites and granulated sugar.

Other readers suggested that the Pumpkin Pie recipe on the back of the can of pumpkin is the best way to bake it, and the eggnog pie recipe is also on the end of the carton of Knudsen brand eggnog. Libby's pie filling was also recommended by a Rancho Santa Margarita reader who is making Apple Pie and Pumpkin Pie for her family

In San Clemente, they'll be lining up for Grandma's Blueberry and Cherry pie--and who wouldn't.

For readers who liked to buy their pies, Marie Calendar's is still the best place to pick up your pie that will be Thanksgiving dessert worthy, according to a Laguna Niguel reader who will be picking up their favorite Double Lemon Cream. In Newport Beach, one reader is picking up a Razzleberry pie from Claim Jumper! Finally, just about everyone across southern California agrees that Costco Pumpkin, Apple and Pecan Pies will be at their Thanksgiving dessert table.
