ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Orange County residents, the weekend is almost here, and with it will come a break in this grueling heatwave.
However, the hot weather isn't quite done with us. Excessive heat warnings will remain in effect for the Santa Ana Mountains Friday and much of inland Orange County will remain under a heat advisory with temperatures in the 90s. The coast will be lovely, hovering in the mid 70s Friday.
Elsewhere around the state, the heat has been extreme - a record-setting 123 degrees in Palm Springs. As a result, a Flex Alert has been issued statewide for Friday afternoon.
