ORANGE COUNTY, CA —A popular indie surf band Her's and their tour manager died in a horrific crash early Wednesday on their way to Santa Ana, their record label announced Thursday.

Stephen Fitzpatrick, 24, Audun Laading, 25 and their tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson were on their way into Orange County on the last leg of their cross-country tour when the crash occurred on I-10 in Arizona. Early Wednesday a Nissan pickup truck driving the wrong way in traffic collided head-on with a Ford passenger van that was heading west, in La Paz County in Arizona, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

Touring for their debut album “Invitation to Her’s" the band was on their second tour of North America, playing 19 dates of sold-out shows "to a fanbase that adored them," the label said over Facebook.

"Their energy, vibrancy and talent came to define our label. As humans, they were warm, gentle and hilarious. Each time they stopped by the office made for an uplifting experience. To say they were close would be an underestimation of a friendship that was genuinely beautiful to witness; they loved one another like brothers," they said.
