UnitedHealthcare Raises Awareness for Kids with Special Needs

UnitedHealthcare is a proud sponsor of the Speech and Language Development Center's "Walk Your Way" Event

Employees from UnitedHealthcare were proud to participate in the Speech and Language Development Center’s annual "Walk Your Way" event, held on March 17 at Knott’s Berry Farm. Located in Buena Park, SLDC is a non-profit school and therapy center for children and adults with special needs. They provide services from pre-school at 6 months through high school and transition at 21 years of age.

The name of the annual event is “Walk Your Way”, which emphasizes the event is for children with all different abilities. The funds raised will be used to refurbish the student Fitness Center, STREAM Lab, and Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Sensory Gym.
