Young OC Man Furloughed by Disney Brings Magic Alive on Halloween

A 20-year old Aliso Viejo man furloughed by Disneyland dares to dream and build a Haunted Mansion Display this Halloween despite pandemic

(Aliso Viejo, Ca) — On a night traditionally reserved for ghosts, ghouls and goblins — the influence of one very special mouse appears tonight in Aliso Viejo.

Wyatt Stanley, 20, of Aliso Viejo, isn’t one to let life’s harder lessons get him down. Like pioneer Walt Disney himself— who said: “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing” — Wyatt took action this Halloween season.

The young 20-year old, a graduate of the prestigious Orange County High School of the Arts (OCHSA), is currently furloughed by Disneyland due to the pandemic and is awaiting the day he can return to the job he loves.

For so many of us Southern Californians, we literally feel pain in our hearts when we think of our beloved Disneyland being shut-down. Most especially this time of year.

This is Disneyland’s moment: the fall and holiday season. And we can’t get to her.

But Wyatt brought us a sliver of that magic here for us to experience with a Haunted Mansion Halloween display that he built from scratch — a.k.a., his heart.

Bravo to this young man who walks in the footsteps of Walt Disney by believing, dreaming and doing....
