73-Year-Old Man Found Dead In Topanga State Park

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A 73-year-old man was found dead in Topanga State Park on Tuesday, and authorities were investigating if it was an accident or natural causes. The body was discovered around 11:30 a.m. near the Santa Ynez Waterfall Trail, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

LAFD ground crews and helicopters both responded to the scene to aid the police investigation. LAPD said at the time that the death was "suspicious."

The coroner's office named Aleksandr Tsiryulnikov, a Los Angeles resident, the victim.
