
Longtime Palisadian, mother, and karate student Tamar Springer won two first place trophies at the 2012 Compete Nationals Tournament in Ontario last week.
Springer is a student at in Pacific Palisades and a licensed psychotherapist and mediator, with a 13-year-old private practice in Brentwood.
According to Gerry Blanck himself, Springer won first place in "Traditional Forms" and "Musical Kata" in the Brown Belt Division.

Black says the tournament is one of "the largest and most prestigious martial arts tournaments in the United States."
