Sign Up for the First Pacific Palisades Spelling Bee

The Pacific Palisades Spelling Bee, or "Pali Bee," is the first Palisades-wide spelling event for first through fifth graders.

Participants must go to school in the Palisades and will compete by grade level.

If your child is interested in participating, he or she must be registered by Dec. 31, 2011. Space is limited.

The event will be held on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at the Rustic Canyon Recreation Center at 601 Latimer Rd. in Santa Monica. The competition will be divided as follows:

• 10 a.m.-12 p.m. (first and second grades)
• 1 p.m.-3 p.m. (third, fourth and fifth grades)
