
There’s been talk of mountain lions and bobcats, but the latest animal sighting in Santa Monica appears to be that of a coyote.
A reader submitted the following video to Patch.
The California Department of Fish and Game offers the following advice if you happen to see a coyote:

- Do not run.
- Face the animal, make noise and try to look bigger by waving your arms.
- If necessary, throw rocks or other objects at the coyote to scare it away.
- If attacked, fight back.
