Deadline For Palisades Library Summer Writing Contest Approaching
The contest is open to students across Los Angeles from first through 12th grade.
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Are you living with a young creative writer in the house? If so, it's time to urge them to submit their entry for Friends of the Palisades Library's summer Creative Writing contes. The September 8 deadline is fast approaching, and applications are open for all kids from 1st grade to high school.
With a theme of "surprise us," there's no limit to each applicant's creative control. Students can submit short stories, essays, poetry and more, with a total limit of three double spaced pages.
The contest is open to all students of schools enrolled in Los Angeles area schools. Contestants are split into five categories based on the grade they will enter in Fall 2020: 1st & 2nd grade, 3rd & 4th grade, 5th & 6th grade, 7th & 8th grade, and high school.
