Fire Breaks Out At Highlands Shopping Center
The fire started on the bottom floor and spread to the upper level before firefighters managed to extinguish it.
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A fire broke out at a small strip mall in the Pacific Palisades Thursday evening around 10:28 p.m. The fire sprung out at 1515 N Palisades Dr., at a 2 shopping center containing Casa Nostra Ristorante and other businesses.
The flames began in the walls of a restaurant on the first floor, and extended to offices and businesses on the second floor according to Brian Humphrey of the LAFD. The department sent 35 firefighters to battle the b laze, and a knockdown was called at 11:09 p.m.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
