Firefighters Extinguish Pacific Palisades House Fire

The fire was in the "walls of a basement," according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Firefighters quickly extinguished a small fire in the basement of a two-story hose in the Palisades Friday morning. The fire was reported at 931 N Chautauqua Blvd around 6:31 a.m.

Firefighters had to locate the fire in the "walls of the basement," according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department. About 20 minutes later, crews managed to extinguish the blaze.

A total of 26 firefighters were sent to battle the flames, and no injuries were reported. Details on what caused the fire weren't immediately available.
