Getty Villa To Stay Closed Through Thanksgiving
The Woolsey Fire and the closure of PCH has closed the Getty Villa, which will remain closed through the Thanksgiving holiday.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — The Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades will remain closed to the public until Thanksgiving Day because of the Woolsey Fire.
The decision was based on there being no timeline for reopening the evacuation areas in Malibu and some valley communities and there being no plan to reopen Pacific Coast Highway, as well as Pacific Coast Highway likely being needed for disaster recovery efforts once evacuations are lifted, Lisa Lapin of The Getty said.
Any plans to reopen will follow direction from emergency agencies, Lapin said.

Both the Getty Villa and Getty Center both remain safe and are not threatened and its art and archives are secure and the Getty Center remains open and operating under its normal hours, Lapin said.
The Villa was being used as a place for fire crews to rest and recover.
