Hiker Airlifted From Santa Ynez Canyon Trail After Injuring Knee
The woman was stabilized on the ground by LAFD medics and taken to a hospital.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A woman had to be airlifted out of Santa Ynez Canyon Trail after suffering a knee injury Thursday afternoon. The incident was reported at 2:12 p.m. in the Santa Monica Mountains, less than a mile from the Santa Ynez trailhead.
According to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department, the woman fell down on the trail, which led to the injury. After being stabilized by LAFD medics, she was hoisted onto a helicopter and treated in-flight on the way to a local hospital.
Details on the woman or her condition weren't immediately available.
