Hiker Falls 40 Feet On Temescal Canyon Trail, LAFD Called In

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A woman hiking Temescal Canyon Trail fell about 40 feet into a ravine on Thursday afternoon, according to LAFD. The fall happened around 1:49 p.m. just south of the waterfall.

The woman suffered an apparent ankle fracture, and will be airlifted out by LAFD. As of 2:29 p.m., a LAFD rescue helicopter was preparing to hoist the woman aboard and provide in-flight care en route to a hospital.

No other details about the hiker were available.
