PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A man was rescued from Topanga State Park Tuesday evening after suffering an apparent ankle fracture while hiking. The distress call came in around 5:44 p.m. near the Temescal Ridge Trail.

The victim was hoisted onto an LAFD rescue helicopter and taken to a nearby hospital in fair condition, receiving treatment along the way.
