House Bought With ‘Big Tobacco’ Money on Sale in Palisades for $3.1 Million
The four bedroom home was bought in 2006 by a widow who sued tobacco company Philip Morris over the death of her husband, who was a long-time smoker.
Fifty million dollars can buy a lot of things, and $3 million of that was possibly used by Judy Boeken in 2006 to buy this four bedroom house on .31 acres of land at 970 Chattanooga Ave. in the Pacific Palisades, reports Curbed LA.
Boeken successfully sued tobacco company Philip Morris in 2006 over the death of her husband, Richard, who was a long-term smoker, and was awarded $50 million. She purchased the Palisades home for $3 million shortly thereafter and now the home is back on the market and can be yours for a cool $3.1 million.
