Injured Mountain Biker Airlifted From Santa Monica Mountains
A teenager was airlifted to a hospital after suffering "very painful" wrist and shoulder injuries after falling from his mountain bike.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A teenager was airlifted to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Sunday after he suffered injuries from a fall in the Santa Monica Mountains, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The teenage mountain bicyclist sustained wrist and shoulder injuries after falling from his mountain bike on Sullivan Fire Road, Brian Humphrey of the LAFD told Patch.
"The helicopter landed in a somewhat precarious position, loaded the teenager on board and provided him medical care for a very painful...wrist and shoulder injury but it's not life-threatening."
