Man In Parked Car Killed In Palisades Three-Car Crash Saturday

Three people were critically injured, while a fourth person suffered minor injuries.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A man was killed in the Palisades Saturday morning when a car left the roadway and smashed into two parked vehicles. 28-year-old David Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene, while three others were critically injured.

The crash was reported at 3:38 a.m. Saturday morning in the 17800 block of Pacific Coast Highway, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department. LAPD Officer Jeffrey Lee said a car was driving south on PCH when it veered off the road and struck the two parked cars.

Firefighters and paramedics were sent to the scene at 3:42 a.m., and reported that three people were critically injured while a fourth suffered minor injuries. All were taken to local hospitals according to Humphrey.

Official word on what led up to the accident wasn't immediately available. Northbound and southbound lanes on PCH were closed from Sunset Boulevard to Coastline Drive while crews cleaned and investigated, according to Caltrans.
