Photos: Car Into Hillside at Tahitian Terrace
A woman is sent to the hospital after the car rolls over her foot.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a car rolled away onto Tahiti Avenue before running into a hillside at Tahitian Terrace, a mobile home community in Pacific Palisades, Thursday afternoon.
A resident told Pali Patch that the incident happened at around 1 p.m. and that firefighters and police were on the scene.

According to neighbors, the driver was at the clubhouse at Tahitian Terrace, but left her car running. Since it was not in the park position, the car rolled away and reversed into a hillside. Residents say the car rolled over the female driver's foot and that the woman was taken to the hospital.
No road closures were reported, although neighbors say motorists were slowing down at the accident site.

Captain Arthur Perez of Fire Station 23 told Pali Patch it is very important to make sure your vehicle is secured when you park. He offered the following tips to keep you and your car safe:
- Don't leave your car running when you are not in the driver's seat.
- Make sure your car is in the park position before exiting the vehicle.
- Engage your emergency parking break.
- Turn your wheels toward the curb if parking on a downhill incline.
- Turn your wheels away from the curb if parking on an uphill incline.
