Police Blotter: Man Arrested For Battery, Car Break-Ins Continue
In this week's crime roundup, a man is arrested for battery and police say vehicle burglaries continue to be an issue.

The following crimes were reported between Dec. 25-Dec. 31. The information was provided by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Burglary/Theft From Motor Vehicle
15100 block of Bestor Blvd.
- When: Between Dec. 19 at 1 p.m. and Dec. 23 at 4 p.m.
- What happened: The suspect removed third row car seats from the victim's vehicle.
500 block of Chapala Dr.

- When: Dec. 21 between 2 a.m. and 2:04 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect punched a door lock on the victim's vehicle and took third row car seats.
The LAPD says vehicle burglaries are an ongoing issue and that residents should be proactive when it comes to their belongings. Police say you can help by remembering to do the following:
- Lock your car doors.
- Don't leave valuables in your vehicle.
- Set your car alarm.

16400 block of Sunset Blvd.
- When: Between Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 27 at 11 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect pried open a storage room door and took silver tableware.
Police are also warning residents about break-ins at construction sites. LAPD officials say Palisadians should be on the lookout.
Vandalism
16400 block of Sunset Blvd.
- When: Between Dec. 25 at 2 p.m. and Dec. 27 at 11 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect attempted to pry open a storage room door.
16400 block of Sunset Blvd.
- When: Between Dec. 28 at 5 p.m. and Dec. 29 at 10 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect pried off the side-view mirror of the victim's vehicle.
300 block of Ocean Ave.
- When: Dec. 28 at 9 a.m.
- What happened: The suspect ripped the victim's plants from the ground.
Battery
600 block of Palisades Dr.
- When: Dec. 23 at 10:25 p.m.
- What happened: A 42-year-old-male was arrested for battery.
