Rangers Rescue Lost Hikers

Santa Monica Mountains Park Rangers and Los Angeles firefighters rescued three hikers in Pacific Palisades Sunday evening.

The one female and two male hikers, all in their 20s, became lost while hiking the Paseo Miramar Trail at about 6:45 p.m. They were located and taken to safety at about 7:30 p.m.

An LAFD helicopter was used in the search, but the hikers were driven to safety via ground vehicle. They were uninjured and did not require transport to the hospital, according to Erik Scott of the fire department.
