Rapper Offset Detained At The Grove In Gun Investigation

Rapper Offset, who is married to Cardi B​, was detained and cuffed at The Grove, following reports of a gunman at the center.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Rapper Offset, who is married to Cardi B, was one of four men detained by police at the Grove Wednesday following reports of a man with a gun at the shopping center's parking structure. Two of the men were arrested on weapons charges.

Police arrived on scene and detained four men.Footage from the scene obtained by TMZ, shows Offset being pushed up against a wall and handcuffed by police. Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephius, was not one of the two men who was ultimately arrested, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The two people arrested were Demetrius Carter who was booked on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon, and Tremaine Benson who was booked on possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, Lomeli said. Their ages, bail and court information were not immediately available.

Offset, 28, is a member of the hip hop and trap music trio - Migos.. He was detained, but not arrested on gun charges, LAPD Officer Lizeth Lomeli said.

Officers responded to the Grove after the department received a 911 call at 7:18 p.m. and recovered two guns, LAPD Officer Mike Lopez said.
