Red Flag Warning In Pacific Palisades Until 10 p.m. Tuesday

Wind gusts along the coast could reach up to 50 mph according to the National Weather Service.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — As gusty winds continue to buffet Los Angeles County in the presence of low humidity, the National Weather Service has again issued a Red Flag Warning for much of the region. In Pacific Palisades, the warning will be in place through 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

Red Flag Warnings indicate an elevated fire risk, which officials sorely hope to avoid after one of the most brutal fire seasons in the history of California. Along the coast, NWS said winds could gust up to 50 mph.

"If fire ignition occurs, conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread, long range spotting, and extreme fire behavior which would threaten life and property," NWS said.

"Use extreme caution with potential fire ignition sources. This is the time to get set with assembling your emergency supply kit and knowing your evacuation route," the department continued.

Temperatures are expected to reach 68 degrees with mostly cloudy skies on Monday in Pacific Palisades, before dropping to 60 degrees overnight. Tuesday will see sunnier skies, with a high of 75 degrees and an overnight low of 59 degrees.
