Saint Matthew's Parish School Names Permanent Principal

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — St. Matthew's Parish School has promoted Dr. Monica Gillespie to the position of principal for preschool through the 4th grade, as first reported by Palisades Post. Dr. Gillespie had previously served as the interim principal for the same grades.

Before coming to St. Matthew's, Dr. Gillespie was the Head of Upper School at Francis Parker School in San Diego. As a whole, she holds nearly thirty years of teaching experience and also served at Head of School at Saint Mary's School in North Carolina.

Prior to her career, Gillespie earned her bachelor's degree in English and History from the University of Virginia. She later went on to earn a Master's degree in Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the Curry School of Education, University of Virginia.
