PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Shane Smith, the co-founder and executive chairman of Vice Media, recently sold his Pacific Palisades house for over $48 million. The sale sets a real estate record in the Palisades, breaking the previous record of $33.85 million set by entertainment mogul William King according to the Los Angeles Times.

At 3.35 acres, there's plenty of room to roam on the property, while the 13 bedroom house itself is similarly large with 14,000 square feet. The sprawling estate includes a 74 foot pool, a separate pool house and two guest houses, along with edible gardens, citrus groves and even private water wells.

Inside, the home features a library, grand piano, custom bar and wine cellar along with numerous other amenities.

Property history shows Smith bought the mansion in 2015 for $23 million. Since then, the house underwent a massive renovation to modernize the property while keeping the Hollywood grandeur.

Shane Smith co-founded Vice in 1994 along with Suruoosh Alvi and Gavin McInnes. Forbes added him to their annual list of billionaires in 2017, although he has since dropped off the list.
