Strong Winds Could Bring Power Outages To Pacific Palisades

Forecasters expect gusts of up to 40 mph overnight, and say it could lead to fallen trees and power outages.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Windy weather will be returning to the Palisades
Tuesday night, with forecasters expecting it to last until midday Wednesday. The National Weather Service expects wind speeds around 15-25 mph, with occasional gusts of up to 40 mph.

NWS said the strongest winds will blow in the northwestern portion of the San Fernando Valley, along with the eastern Ventura County Valleys. The agency cautioned the winds could make for dangerous driving conditions on roads and freeways in the area, especially on Pacific Coast Highway.

"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result. This includes the Pacific Coast Highway."
