Strong Winds, Moderate Temperatures In Pacific Palisades
Wind gusts could reach as high as 65 mph in parts of Los Angeles this weekend.
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Strong winds are once again expected to buffet Pacific Palisades and the rest of Los Angeles this weekend. Wind gusts in parts of the city could reach as high as 65 mph, while wind speeds in the Palisades could reach up to 35 mph.
Winds are expected to peak on Saturday and Sunday before calming back down Sunday night.
Those looking hoping to stretch their legs on a weekend hike should be especially cautious, as a wind advisory is in effect from 3 p.m. through 10 p.m. Friday in the L.A. County Mountains. Forecasters predicted north winds from 20-35 mph, with gusts up to 55 mph.

The new advisories and watches posted Friday come a day after moderate to strong Santa Ana winds battered parts of the L.A. area -- making driving treacherous on some mountain and valley roadways -- before abating.
From Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon, a high-wind watch will be in effect for the L.A. County mountains. Then, northeast winds are expected to reach 25-40 mph, with possible gusts as strong as 65 mph.

Temperature wise, it'll be brisk but pleasant weekend in the Palisades. Saturday and Sunday will bring sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 60s.
Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s to low 50s, with clear skies and strong winds Saturday night.
