Topanga Canyon Blvd. To Be Reduced To One Lane This Week

After a series of mud and rock slides, crews will stabilize Topanga Canyon Boulevard reducing it to one lane between PCH and the Valley.

TOPANGA, CA— Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Topanga will be reduced to a single lane of traffic with one-way traffic control measures in place starting on Monday as crews work to stabilize the slope. Residents are advised to expect delays for the duration of the project.

The work is being done to address numerous mud and rock slides plaguing the area in recent months, prompting full closures of the road thanks links Pacific Coast Highway with the San Fernando Valley. Drivers should find alternate routes this week, Caltrans advised.

The southbound lane of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, also known as state Route 27, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday between Grand View Drive and Pacific Coast Highway for a construction assessment and environmental survey, according to Caltrans.
