Two Seperate Hikers Rescued In Pacific Palisades
A mountain biker had to be airlifted out of Sullivan Fire Road, while another woman was rescued from Los Liones Trail.
PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — Two hikers were airlifted out of hiking trails in the Palisades this Saturday in separate incidents about an hour apart from each other.
The first call came in around 1:00 p.m. near Sullivan Fire Road in response to a mountain biker who was injured while riding. Fire-fighter paramedics arrived and treated him in an air ambulance on the way to a hospital.
Ground crews stayed behind to recover the mountain bike, which couldn't be transported by air, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Less than an hour later around 1:48 p.m., firefighters were back in the Palisades to rescue an injured woman who was hiking along the Los Liones Trail. She was also hoisted by LAFD into a helicopter and flown to a local hospital.
