Video of Tom Hanks, Glenn Frey at Pali Fundraiser Has Washington Buzzing

Conservative news site The Daily Caller publishes footage of the actor and musician at a 2004 fundraising auction at St. Matthew's Parish School.

A video released Tuesday by The Daily Caller of actor Tom Hanks and Eagles musician Glenn Frey has been causing quite a stir. According to the report, Frey and Hanks are "playfully interacting with a white man dressed as an African native, complete with blackface makeup and a giant Afro wig."

Hanks responded to the video Tuesday, labeling the video "hideously offensive," reported The Wrap. According to the site, Hanks "acknowledged that he emceed the annual fundraising event for St. Matthew's Parish School ... but said the incident was regrettable."

Both Frey and Hanks had children who attended the school and were co-emcees of the 2004 event, according to The Daily Caller. The theme of the fundraiser was "Castaways," referring to Hanks' 2000 film Cast Away.
