Pricey Palo Alto Homes: 455 Coleridge Ave.

This elegant home was designed by Palo Alto's leading architect.

Birge Clark has been called Palo Alto’s best-loved architect. He designed iconic buildings at Stanford University including the Lou Henry Hoover House, the three John Stauffer laboratories, and the Seeley G. Mudd Chemistry  Building. Other Clark public buildings around Palo Alto include the Lucie Stern Community Center, the Hotel President, the Palo Alto Post Office and the Palo Alto Medical Clinic.

If you’re a fan of Clark’s elegant Spanish Colonial Revival Style, you have an opportunity to awaken to his brilliance every morning. The home designed by Clark at 455 Coleridge Ave. is being offered for $6.9 million.

The four bedroom, three bath home was built in 1927. It’s a comfortable 3,600 sq. feet. The home has been updated in important ways such as double-paned windows, but the details that distinguish Clark’s homes have been preserved.
