Are Horses Pollution?

Equestrians named in environmental Lawsuit by Rolling Hills Resident who seeks to greatly upgrade regulations for horse owners. Dogs next?

Rolling Hills Estates resident Jennifer Novak is suing the city of San Juan Capistrano because apparently mucking stalls and dumping in a dumpster and having manure hauled away isn't clean enough. It's a watershed issue, but isn't everywhere a horse is kept, or arenas and trails and ride on, a watershed?

Remarkably, the City, and a show facility are in compliance with all regulations, but the lawsuit wants higher standards applied- like the Feedlts for cows right before they are slaughtered? Kind of like comparing the sewage plants of a feed lot, to a swimming pool where we keep horses?

The big concern is not losing on merits; it's that the discovery phase will cost the city and its horse riding taxpayers millions and lead to the closure of the showplace, a temporary home for horses that many on the Hill know very well.
