Car Crashes Into Power Pole In Rancho Palos Verdes

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — A vehicle crashed into a power pole in Rancho Palos Verdes Wednesday afternoon, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials said.

"Please be advised that Western Avenue between Westmont Drive and Avenida Aprenda is closed due to a single-vehicle collision into a power pole," officials said.

Authorities advised drivers to avoid the area. It's unclear if anyone was injured.

Southbound Western Avenue between Avenida Aprenda and Westmont Drive remained closed Wednesday night, officials said.

"The Lomita Sheriff's Station has advised that SCE is working on repairing the severed utility poles," officials said. "Drivers should continue to avoid the area."
