Chester Bennington Funeral Memorabilia Pulled Off eBay

Memorabilia from the funeral of the late Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park, was on sale via eBay with bids exceeding $50,000.

PALOS VERDES, CA – Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park, died unexpectedly in July, and his family held a private funeral service in Rancho Palos Verdes to honor him. Afterward, memorabilia from the funeral started to pop up on eBay – with bids over $50,000 for the "memorial package," which included a program, wristband, lanyard and pin from the service, according to TMZ.

The alleged seller was identified on the Linkin Park subreddit, and multiple users pointed out that he had production credits on several Linkin Park projects and previously sold other memorabilia from the group, according to Complex. According to sources close to the late Bennington, they also believe it was someone who worked with Linkin Park in production, TMZ said.

EBay doesn't allow sales of items that "attempt to profit from tragedy," an eBay spokesperson told TMZ. The company contacted and educated the seller and told TMZ that further action will be taken if it happens again.
