Dia De Los Muertos: PV Holds Mini Alter Making Workshop On Zoom

A mini alter workshop will be held online Nov. 1 to celebrate Dia de los Muertos and to learn about its deeply rooted traditions.

PALOS VERDES, CA — Dia de los Muertos is an ancient Mexican tradition to honor and remember loved ones who have passed. The City of Ranchos Palos Verdes will hold a virtual mini altar workshop Sunday to help locals celebrate from the comfort and safety of their homes.

The workshop will be held on Zoom for $10 and will include a presentation about the tradition and history of Dia de los Muertos.

Participants are encouraged to reuse a shoebox from home, find a 2 x 3 inch copy of a photo of a loved one that has passed. The class provides materials in a supply kit for the rest.
