Firefighters Knock Down Brush Fire in Rancho Palos Verdes
A blaze scorched about a half-acre of grass in Rancho Palos Verdes on Sunday, officials said.
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — City firefighters, with an assist from Los Angeles County firefighters, knocked down a brush fire in Rancho Palos Verdes that scorched about a half-acre of grass, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The blaze ignited near 2275 W. 25th St. and was reported at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, fire department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
The LAFD sent 37 firefighters to the scene and contained the flames in about 20 minutes, Prange said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
