Landslide Project: Road Work Along Palos Verdes Drive South

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Both lanes of Palos Verdes Drive South, through the landslide area, are scheduled to reopen this evening at about 5 p.m., Rancho Palos Verdes city officials said.

The project to repair the roadway service will continue through Friday between Peppertree Drive and Narcissa Drive.

"The surface of the road is being lowered in some areas and raised in other areas to help smooth the vertical transitions throughout the landslide," city officials said.

The road will be limited to one lane in each direction, and traffic control personnel will be in place as part of the work zone setup.

Drivers should expect delays in the area next week between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

"Drivers should proceed cautiously through the work zone and carefully follow work zone signs and instructions," city officials said.
