Palos Verdes Library District Election 2020: 2 Seats Open

Voters will head to the polls Tuesday to vote for two of the four candidates vying for a spot on the Palos Verdes Library District Board.

PALOS VERDES, CA — Palos Verdes residents will choose Tuesday which candidates they want to represent them on the Palos Verdes Library District Board of Trustees.

Many voters have already cast their ballot via early voting or mail-in voting due to the pandemic. Voting centers are open and people can also drop off ballots there.

There are four total candidates for the Palos Verdes Library District Board of Trustees. Two seats are open for a four-year term.

There are the candidates running:

  • Bob Nelson - Retired Planning Commissioner
  • Ray Randall - Retired
  • Zoe Unno - Librarian
  • Kingston Wong - Incumbent

Three challengers Bob Nelson, Ray Randall and Zoe Unno will face off with one incumbent, Kingston Wong.

"The Palos Verdes Library District is a Special District governed by a Board of Library Trustees which consists of five elected members who must be qualified voters and residents of the District," city officials said.
