Palos Verdes Student Injured In Pocket Knife Incident

PALOS VERDES, CA — A middle school student suffered a superficial pocket knife wound Tuesday afternoon at a middle school in Rancho Palos Verdes, according to police.

The injury was reported about 5 p.m. at Dodson Middle School at 28014 S. Montereina Drive, according to Sgt. Julie Spry of the Los Angeles School Police Department.

The student was taken to a hospital out of an abundance of caution, according to Spry, who said a second student was involved, although the circumstances were not immediately clear.

Officers were at the school conducting an investigation.

The school's students range in age from 11-13 years old.
