Palos Verdes: Wind Advisory, Potential Power Outages Expected
A wind advisory is in effect for Palos Verdes residents with a high risk for potential power outages.
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — A wind advisory was issued for Palos Verdes Tuesday, with Cox Communications customers expected to have possible outages.
The National Weather Service announced the wind advisory through 4 a.m. Wednesday with northeast winds of up to 20 to 30 mph, along with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
Cox Communications advises that areas with aerial plant and a high concentration of trees, especially eucalyptus trees, such as the Palos Verdes Drive East area, are at a high risk of experiencing extended service outages, city officials said.
