Panga Boat Found Near Palos Verdes Estates, 10 People Detained
A Panga boat was found off the coast in Palos Verdes Estates. About 10 people were detained.
PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — A Panga boat was found near Palos Verdes Estates Friday morning and about 10 people were detained.
The U.S. Coast Guard helped to tow the vessel. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is investigating.
The Panga — an open, outboard-powered fishing boat — was found around 8 a.m. near Paseo del Mar and Palos Verdes Drive West, KTLA5 reported. Some containers were also found, but their contents were not reported.
