Pursuit Ends With Deputy, Suspect Shooting
A pursuit ended in the Lomita area Thursday with sheriff's deputies exchanging shots with an assault suspect. No one was hurt.
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — A pursuit ended in the Lomita area Thursday with sheriff's deputies exchanging shots with an assault suspect, officials said. No one was injured in the shooting.
The suspect tried shooting at the deputies after the pursuit stopped and deputies fired back, according to CBS2.
It's unclear where the pursuit started. It ended about 3:30 p.m. in the 26600 block of Western Avenue, near the border of Los Angeles and Lomita.

Officials asked drivers to avoid the area near Palos Verdes Drive North and Western Avenue, and Western between Delasonde and 263rd for the next several hours, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officals said.
An investigation was underway.
