Reid, Frankel Lead In PVPUSD Governing Board Race
Linda Reid and Jeff Frankel are in the lead to fill two open seats on the PVPUSD Governing Board, according to preliminary election results.

Palos Verdes Peninsula residents have chosen which candidates they want to represent them on the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Governing Board with incumbent Linda Reid in the lead early Thursday with 15,568 votes, according to preliminary results, followed by Jeff Frankel with 9,044 votes. Aura Imbarus has 8,639 votes and Joseph Dileva with 8,075 votes.
Four total candidates were running for the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Governing Board. Two seats are open for a four-year term.

Incumbent and current board President Suzanne Seymour told Patch she decided not to run for re-election. Her term expires in 2020.
Board member and incumbent Linda Reid was running for re-election. Challengers included educator Joseph E. Dileva, business consultant Jeff Frankel and educator Aura Imbarus.

These were the PVPUSD Governing Board member candidates running:

"The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD) Board of Education has five members who are elected by the public to four-year terms," according to the district's website.
"Elections are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each even-numbered year, and terms are staggered so that two or three seats are open each election."
Terms for the three other current board members will expire in 2022.
