PVPUSD Governing Board Election 2020: 2 Seats Open
Voters will head to the polls Tuesday to vote for two of the four candidates vying for a spot on the PVPUSD Governing Board.

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Palos Verdes Peninsula residents will choose Tuesday which candidates they want to represent them on the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Governing Board.
Many voters have already cast their ballot via early voting or mail-in voting due to the pandemic. Voting centers are open and people can also drop off ballots there.
There are four total candidates for the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Governing Board. Two seats are open for a four-year term.

Incumbent and current board President Suzanne Seymour will appear on the ballot but told Patch she decided not to run for re-election. Her term expires in 2020.
Board member and incumbent Linda Reid is running for re-election. Challengers include educator Joseph E. Dileva, business consultant Jeff Frankel and educator Aura Imbarus.

There are the PVPUSD Governing Board member candidates running:
- Joseph E. Dileva - Educator
- Jeff Frankel - Business Consultant
- Aura Imbarus - Educator
- Linda D. Reid- Incumbent
"The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD) Board of Education has five members who are elected by the public to four-year terms," according to the district's website. "Elections are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each even-numbered year, and terms are staggered so that two or three seats are open each election."
Terms for the three other current board members will expire in 2022.
