PVPUSD Offering Free Breakfast, Lunch Curbside Pickup For Kids

Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District offers free breakfast and lunch for children during the coronavirus pandemic.

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District is offering free breakfast and lunch for all children with curbside pickup during the pandemic.

The program runs until winter break and is available to anyone 18 years old and younger.

The district offers the curbside food pickup Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following schools:

  • Miraleste Intermediate School, 29323 Palos Verdes Dr. E, Rancho Palos Verdes
  • Palos Verdes Intermediate School, 2161 Vía Olivera, Palos Verdes Estates
  • Ridgecrest Intermediate School, 28915 Northbay Rd, Rancho Palos Verdes
  • Palos Verdes High School, 600 Cloyden Rd, Palos Verdes Estates
  • Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, 27118 Silver Spur Rd, Rolling Hills Estates

Parents and guardians can pick up meals on behalf of their child or children.

"The community-at-large is welcome and adolescents do not need to be enrolled in the district to participate," according to the district.

"Proper PPE, physical distancing, and strict food safety protocols will be in place for the safety of our staff, students, and families," district officials said. "Students and families who pick up meals will be required to wear a mask."

All meals include a main entree, choice of milk and seasonal fruit and vegetable.

"We encourage your student to try our well-balanced and healthful meals to help them succeed with instruction and beyond," officials said.
