PV's Priciest Homes: 1704 Via Coronel

Every week, we feature one of the most expensive homes on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

The 30,492-square-foot property at 1704 Via Coronel in Palos Verdes Estates is priced at $6.999 million—a 217 percent price increase over when it was first listed for sale on Auction.com in February, according to public records aggregated by Zillow.

The 10,000-square-foot Santa Barbara-style home features "stunning archways … filled with opulent appointments with distressed hardwood floors and natural stone throughout," according to listing agent Raju Chhabria.

The house has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, in addition to a gourmet kitchen, formal family room, personal home theater room and a game room.

"Relax in your personal home theatre room equipped with state of (the) art projection technology and surround sound," Chhabria writes. "The party never has to end with a speaker filled game room, perfect for a game of billiards."

The property was last sold as a foreclosure in 2012 for $5.22 million, according to Zillow.
