Rancho Palos Verdes Announces Discount Program With Ring

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — The City of Rancho Palos Verdes has partnered with Ring to provide a subsidy match program opportunity for residents to buy select Ring home security devices at a discount.

Qualifying Rancho Palos Verdes residents will have the opportunity to receive a $100 discount toward 500 select Ring devices, the City news release said. The subsidy match program begins with a kickoff event from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. this Saturday at Fred Hesse, Jr. Community Park, and runs through April 6, or until all discount codes are used.

Residents can participate in the program if they are first-time program participants and provide proof of Rancho Palos Verdes residency, the news release said. The 500 devices for the program are offered at a first-come, first-served basis. Those who attend the live event this Saturday will also have the additional opportunity to purchase a second Ring security device with an additional $30 discount. The third Ring security device purchased will receive another $20 discount, the City said.

Ring devices available at the event and for the program include: Ring Door View Cam (Peephole Cam), Ring Video Doorbell 2, Ring Video Doorbell Pro, Ring Spotlight Cam Solar, Ring Spotlight Cam Battery, Ring Spotlight Cam Wired, Ring Floodlight Cam and the Ring Alarm Security Kit.

Only credit card purchases will be accepted at the event, no cash or checks. Contact partnerhelp@ring.com or visit the updates on the City website after Monday, February 24, if you are unable to attend the event.

Subsidy discount codes are limited to one per household and cannot be re-used or applied towards previously purchased Ring products. They are intended for first-time program participants, the City said.

Residents have the option to subscribe to a Ring Protect Plan if they would like to save Ring device footage or sign-up for an alarm monitoring service. Subscriptions are not required to use Ring devices.
