Stegura, Zerunyan, Schmitz Lead Rolling Hills Estates Race

Debby Stegura , Frank Zerunyan and Velveth Schmitz lead Rolling Hills Estates City Council race, according to preliminary results Thursday.

Rolling Hills Estates residents have chosen which candidates they want to represent them on the Rolling Hills Estates City Council with Debby Stegura leading with 1,679 votes, followed by Frank Zerunyan with 1,580 votes and Velveth Schmitz with 1,568 votes, according to preliminary election results early Thursday. Bridget Carman has 1,021 votes, Bruce Steckel with 997 votes, Timothy Buresh with 936 votes and Jeffrey Romanelli with 875 votes.

Seven total candidates were running for the Rolling Hills Estates City Council. Three seats are open for a four-year term. Five challengers faced off head-to-head against two incumbents in the race.

Many voters already cast their ballots via early voting or mail-in voting due to the pandemic.
